The temporary exhibition of the Gruerian museum highlights a treasure of the Friborg cultural heritage. On the occasion of the proposal to include "the alpine season" on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list, the Gruerian museum exhibits leather bells and necklaces of Friborg breeders.
Singshots are large iron bells attached to the neck of breeding animals that are mainly found during the traditional thirst in October. Richly decorated, these bells are marked by traditions, know-how and Friborg stories.
A Friborg and eight Friborg are invited to the museum to tell you about the passion they dedicate to this material and artistic wealth. Their testimonies will intimately approach the history of sounds, regional traditions and their lifestyles.
