*Sonic Mysteries*

Tashi Wada with Julia Holter

The composer and musician Tashi Wada is a continuation of the work of his father Yohi Wada - Fluxus artist and a great Cornemuse experimenter - with whom he has played for many years. He works for this new and very beautiful project with the singer and multi-instrumentalist Julia Holter, Known for its elegant art pop discs on Domino. Together, with keyboards, The voice and two sirens, It creates simple harmonic combinations, which blend into resonances and dissonances, slow and stretched.

*Floating percussion*

Michael Ranta

Mharuva (1977) for Marimba

Yin-Chu (2005) for four percussionists and band

Transits II (1975) for percussion

First part

Sarah Hennies

Sarah Hennies is particularly interested in works whose shape and content are not entirely fixed. The twelve movements that make up Mharuva include indications that offer the musician a large field of experimentation and creation. There is talk of independence in the hands: the left maintains constant pulses while the right performs uncompromising gestures.

Second part

Eklekto and Sarah Hennies

Renowned composer and percussionist, especially alongside Harry Partch and Stockhausen, Michael Ranta has been passionate about decades for the Far East instruments for decades. Active from the 1960s, He stayed six years in Taiwan and started writing Yuen Shan, Name of the highest mountain on the island and cycle of works to which Yin-Chu belongs. His music, calm and contemplative, sometimes as eruptive, found with Sarah Hennies and Eklekto an ideal combination of performers. It allows us to rediscover this fascinating composer whose work, especially electroacoustic, has only been published for a few years.

Caroline Profanter / Hildegard Westerkamp

Acous conversation (my) tick #7

*Echologies*

Caroline Profanter: Feedback Z3 Circuits

Hildegard Westerkamp: Gently Penetrating Beneath The Sounding Surfaces of Another Place / Cricket Voice

Caroline Profanter's performances find their balance on the thread of an articulated improvisation around fixed sound elements from field records, synthesis or feedback of which it produces mutable sound organizations, with complex shapes and behaviors, under the influence of electronic modulations, environmental interference and according to their disposition in space.

A work in close proximity to that of Hildegard Westerkamp, composer, Radio artist and major figure in acoustic ecology. His writing pays particular attention to the integrity of sounds in their contextual displacement, respect for their original acoustic environment, to that of the vacant spaces that welcome them, And to the sound conversations they create there.

Every evening at 10:30 p.m., The listening salon offers a concert that combines a sound creation and the resonance dissemination of historical pieces or curiosities escaped from the vast repertoire of electroacoustic music.
