Ms. Payet usually offers Vacoas braiding workshops which falls under the cultural heritage of Reunion know-how.

The open days will start at 10 a.m. by Mrs. Sabine Payet L'Artisana at her workshop located at her house in Riviere du Mât les Hauts, with the reception of the public and a presentation of the premises, of the speaker and his know -how in the art of braiding.

First there will be a presentation of the plant: Vacoa (of its scientific name Pandanus uses Bory).
Will follow the preparation of the primary matter by various materials made available (knives,scissors, etc).
Then will start the explanation "how to work the fiber"
