The temporary exhibition The Freak, History of a film will be held at Chaplin’s World from February 11 and until September 23, 2023 at the Manoir de Ban. Cineteca di bologna work, The temporary exhibition will present this story which has never been completed. Charlie Chaplin had imagined and envisaged it but had never done it.

The Freak, would have been, among others, A playful satire on the power of money and business, The weight of advertising, The rise in religious fanaticism and its use in the media. Chaplin having as primary interest in studying nature, These are captivating subjects that still resonate today.

The exhibition will revolve around five sections and a projection: from Charlot to Freak, Sarapha!, The realization of the film, London Calling & a family affair. With more than 3000 archive documents, 1000 pages of annotated stories or 100 original sketches of artists, This exhibition presented in preview at Chaplin’s World promises to be memorable.
