Temporary exhibition "in the footsteps of Reiss" at the Swiss Museum of the camera of Vevey, From January 26 to August 20, 2023. Founder at the University of Lausanne of the first school of scientific police in the world, Rodolphe Archibald Reiss (1875-1929) was an international reputation criminalist. He put his mastery of photography at the service of his science, Developing shooting techniques that are still used today. The exhibition details its photographic methods applied to crime scenes, False banknotes, to the arms of the murderers, to burglars' tools, tattoos or fingerprints. A comparison is made with the instruments used a century ago and those used today in forest science. The exhibition is carried out in collaboration with the UNIL Criminal Sciences School.
