The Odile gallery receives the artist Veveysanne Anne Janin for an exhibition of drawings in mixed digital techniques created in the past two years.
My (間) is a Japanese term which means "interval", "space", "duration", "distance". Philosophically, MA refers to an interval or more generally a space delimited a priori, empty in its primary nature and often in its future, While providing virtually filling and accommodation potential. The MA can even make a scenic space waiting for a phenomenal act that may never happen.
The title MA - with its two parentheses - has established itself as obvious for this exhibition. Anne Janin (1971) shows and feel this suspended interval where the living (humans, nature) and inert (objects, architectures) rub shoulders to compose dreamlike atmospheres, sometimes surrealist, through which time and space seem to stretch in an introspective break, open to all possibilities.
A limited edition of six silk scarves created by the artist is also presented during this exhibition, From December 2 to 23, 2022
> Opening on December 2 at 6 p.m. in the presence of the artist
