In Athens streams, Sylvain Maestraggi extends his exploration of landscapes born of modern town planning. The exhibition restores these photographic explorations which bring into play the look we take on the urban context and the place that nature holds there, both as a survivor form and strength of a missing landscape, of an underground geography, And as the utopia of a reconciled world where the habitat would no longer be destructive of the natural environment on which we depend. Athens has a symbolic double value from this point of view: that of being a city of foundation - at the origin of "our civilization"; and that of a modern capital, fully born from town planning in the 19th and 20th centuries and its consequences. Sylvain Maestraggi is working to meet photography and writing, which relies on the practice of walking and documentary research
