This new Polhymnia ensemble program invites us to discover all the richness of the particular universe of this great English composer, Gustav Holst. By introducing oneself to Sanscri, Gustav Holst himself translated twenty hymns from Rig Veda, famous sacred poems "revealed" by the deities with the wise men of the Vedic era, And put in music fourteen of them from 1908 to 1912. This allowed him to free himself from the English translations of his time, which seemed too midst and obsolete, And to become a passer of this Hindu poetics and wisdom.
