On the top floor of the museum, the route is deployed in several sections which light up the visitor on the objectives pursued by Monet and allow him to grasp how he has, in his paintings, paints the sensation, finely made the variations in the variations in the variations in the variations in Light by color and in finish, captured the intangible. At the same time, in an original and synthetic way, each rider carrying the paintings is punctuated by an action verb -focalisation, muddy, serier, etc., which illustrates the range of pictorial means implemented by the one who was the chief of the impressionist movement before continuing its tireless quest for the moment.

This exhibition is a real consecration for the very young Museum of Modern Art in Fontevraud which has imposed itself and find its place in the world of culture. About Fontevraud, the Museum of Modern Art
National collections Martine and Léon Cligman
Since its opening on May 19, 2021, the Museum of Modern Art in Fontevraud whose creation has been orchestrated by the Pays de la Loire region, has already welcomed nearly 70,000 visitors and has been the subject of excellent public reception and critical. The collection of Martine and Léon Cligman at the origin of this museum of France brings together paintings, drawings and sculptures of artists from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as antiquities and extra-European objects. The original route of the museum does not offer a historical presentation of modern art but suggests an intimate understanding of what a collection is: a rapprochement of linked works not by their origin or their era but by formal aftershocks. He establishes a relationship with the works often unknown to the public, encourages visitors to free their eyes, to identify a relationship with the work of very personal art.
The exhibition policy, also being based on a principle of dialogues, the museum organizes, in summer, a large exhibition in partnership with institutions recognized to present major figures of modern art. This is the case with metamorphoses. In the art of Claude Monet, the first summer exhibition that will mark a highlight of the young history of the museum.
