Antigone

Antigone is the daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta, sovereigns of Thebes.
After the suicide of jocastia and the exile of Oedipus, the two brothers of Antigone, Summer and Polynice, were held for the Throne of Thebes.
Creon, brother of Jocaste, is - as such - the new king and decided not to offer an burial until the summer and not to Polynice, qualified as thug and a traitor. /> He warns by an edict that whoever dares to bury the body of the renegat will be punished with death.
No one dares to brave the prohibition and the corpse of Polynice is abandoned in the sun and to the scavengers.
alone Antigone refuses this situation. Despite her uncle's ban, she goes to her brother's body several times and tries to cover it with earth. Ismène, her sister, does not want to accompany her because she is afraid of Creon and Death.
Antigone is taken to the fact by the King's guards. Creon is obliged to apply the death sentence in Antigone ...
