My national scene -Abel selaocoe

Young prodigy of the cello having a greater in a Township in South Africa, Abel Selaocoe is the new rising star of classical music.

With an academic training of excellence, he freed himself from all the barrier by walking his arch between Bach, Debussy or Boccherini - he was notably a soloist of the BBC Philharmonic -, jazz, Griots traditions, Beatbox, Zulu polyphonies, Baroque ...

A personal quest, through which Selaocoe brilliantly opens with the horizons of learned music to an ever wider public.

After the release of his first album "Where is my home?" Last September, the cellist will be welcomed at the duo shower baths with a pianist.

Seeing him on stage is the promise of a unique experience: as comfortable in his lightning improvisations as in the nuances of the classic, Abel does not hesitate to increase his game with songs modulated in dialects - Xhosa, Bambara, Zulu ... he also beats rhythms on your percussion body or invites the public to push voice to accompany his melodies.

A shared energy effusion, which gives a concert a performance dimension as jubilant as it is stunning ...
