My national scene - Salia Sanou Cie perpetual movements of a dream

Salia Sanou traces through an "ambitious" dance comedy.

The path of the African-American people, from the bondage of the cotton fields to the assassination of George Floyd.

Eight dancers, four singers.

The writer Gaël Faye, the slammer captain Alexandre, and a musical creation signed Lokua Kanza, carry this great fresco strewn with suffering and hope.

The keystone of this dream is of course the famous speech of Martin Luther King "I have a dream".

It follows the evolution of the place given to populations from slavery and representations of the black body.

This great spectacle transports us into several paintings of a tray strewn with CTON flowers at the Cotton Club, New York cabaret of the 20s, then in the atmosphere of musicals after the Second World War before passing to the tubes of 70s signed James Brown or Mory Kanté.

The rhythm and the radiant gestures of the interpreters, the brilliant songs do not forget the struggles for equality or civil rights.

Salia Sanou was able to make this epic a choreography of claim and reconciliation which crosses the eras and the continents to celebrate freedom.
