Dada Masilo is renowned for its original creations inspired by the greatest classic ballets. After Lac des Cygnes, Giselle and Romeo and Juliet, she envisages the coronation of spring as an echo at the Tswana tribe from which she is from. This creation is a study of rhythm and a reflection on the meaning of the word sacrifice for the Tswana people, highlighted by a minimalist but no less impactful scenography. Much more than the simple story of a young woman dancing to death, the sacrifice is an ode to African traditions that Dada Masilo presents to the saline as part of her international tour.
