Cambous site - Exhibition "The eye of the archaeologist" 2022
From April 2 to November 1, 2022
Objects from archaeological excavations are a real source of knowledge. A modest detail, sometimes invisible to the naked eye, can prove to be precious information for the archaeologist.
The detailed observation of the copper knife, a bone pearl, a richly decorated vase and the practice of archaeological experimentation, bring us back to the daily life of our distant ancestors, to manufacturing techniques, to the Agriculture, farming, hunting, everyday life, but also beliefs and rites.
This is this trip to which this new exhibition of photographs in very large formats invites us, inviting us to return in the footsteps of our origins. If the houses abandoned 5,000 years ago bear witness to a bygone time, the objects forgotten by our ancestors tell us about a living world!
