From April 2, the Arquebuse garden opens its new exhibition "Yum! I eat so I am ”. A variation of the exhibition designed by the Musée de l'Homme /National Museum of Natural History which addresses in a multidisciplinary and playful way, a subject that touches us all: food.
How does man, as a species, defines himself by what he eats?
How does the act of food, vital and daily, shapes our identities at the same time through cultural practices, rituals or prohibitions? What role did food play in our evolution?
What are the environmental impacts linked to the production of resources necessary to feed the humanity of today and that of tomorrow? What if we consume nature differently? What are the contemporary and future challenges on a global scale, food production and consumption methods? Food under the prism of research. And we, what are our eating practices? What links do you have with our environment?
So many questions overlapping food, culture and nature, art and science ... are approached through a singular visit experience, at the crossroads between past, present and future.
This exhibition, presented in Paris in 2019-2020, will be embellished and declined in "Dijon sauce"!
